Process for improving the wet fastnesses of direct dyeings on cellulose fibres

The wet fastnesses of direct dyeings on cellulose fibres can be improved by aftertreating these dyeings with water-soluble aliphatic dialdehydes, preferably glutaraldehydes, in a customary manner.
