The drive by asynchronous motor comprises, mounted in series, a set point selector 1 for the active stator current of the asynchronous cage motor, a coordinates converter 2, a phase-sensitive rectifier module 3 and an adjustable current source 4, which is connected to the stator windings of the asynchronous motor 5. The output of the set point selector 1 for the active stator current is connected to the input 7 of a former 8 of frequency of the rotor currents, which is connected by its output to the input 9 of a former 10 of reference signals, whose second input 11 is connected to the output of a set point selector 12 for the reference frequencies. The drive also comprises a multiplier 18 of angular speed of the rotor, connected by its inputs 19, 20 to the sensor 6 of angle of rotation of the rotor and to the set point selector 12 for the reference frequencies, and by its output, to the input 21 of the former 10 of reference signals. In this setup, the outputs of the former 10 are connected to the inputs 22, 23 of the coordinates converter 2.
