A shock absorber for hoses has a pair of pipe elements which are pushed into one another such that they can move axially freely with respect to one another, and sealing elements are fitted between them which permit a relative axial movement between the pipe elements, while maintaining a fluid-sealed track via the pipe elements, the springing and damping devices being provided for braking of the relative axial movement between the pipe elements.
