PURPOSE:To lead out signal charge flux from each picture element array by providing a charge transfer means with delay characteristics and managing with only one output circuit. CONSTITUTION:Signal charges generated in photosensitive picture element arrays 1-4 in response to incident light are accumulated for a specific time and then moved to transfer means 5 and 6, which transfer them successively. Firstly, the signal charge flux A from the vertical photosensitive picture element array 1 is led out. Then, signal charge flux B from the horizontal photosensitive picture element array 2 is led out. Further, signal charge flux C from the horizontal photosensitive picture element array 3 is delayed by a delay line 12 and led out through the transfer means 5, and signal charge flux D from the vertical photosensitive picture element array 4 follows it. In this case, the delay time of the delay line 12 is so set that the pieces of signal charge flux C and D follow the pieces of signal charge flux A and B from the vertical photosensitive picture elements 1 and 2 without fail, so a serial time-series signal is generated without any overlap between the pieces of signal charge flux B and C; only one output circuit 13 is enough and a signal detection error due to variance in charge/voltage conversion gain and output reference voltage among plural circuits when those circuit generate outputs in parallel is eliminated. |
