The invention relates to a scraper chain for central-strand scraper conveyors, in particular for so-called curve-negotiating conveyors with chain deflection about a rolling curve or the like. In place of the usual round-link chain, the scrapers are connected by the use of chain pieces which each consist of a plate-shaped intermediate piece and of two toggles suspended in an articulated manner in said intermediate piece, the toggles being connected in a tensionally firm manner to the scrapers by means of ball joints. The scraper chain is of low overall height and has high traction.
