PURPOSE:To transmit/receive data between different kinds of operating systems (OSs) efficiently by connecting a direct access storage device to be used in common between computer systems. CONSTITUTION:When a write instruction is outputted from a computer system VM1 to an address AD0, a volume content list VTOC converting part 5 discriminates an access instruction from the computer system VM1, retrieves a common address ADx from VTOC conversion and writes data from the computer system VM1 to the address ADx of a common DASD4. When a read instruction is outputted from a computer system VM2 to an address AD1, the data corresponding to the address ADx are read out to the computer system VM2 in the same process. Thus, the common DASD4 is used both computer systems VM1, VM2 in common. Since the common DASD can be directly accessed, data can be transmitted/received efficiently. |
