A lift for roller shutters and blinds on windows is provided with an electromotive drive (2) which has a limit switch (6). For the purpose of simple exchange of a manually operated roller shutter or blind lift for one which is electromotively operated, the lift is provided with a winding spool (4) for a roller shutter strap (5), which is conventional in the case of manual operation, and with limit switches (6) arranged in the region of the winding spool (4) and operated by the roller shutter strap (5). <IMAGE>
