Negative mould for producing adapter blocks and process for their production

Negative mould for producing an adapter block for applications in fluid technology. An expandable material is introduced into the negative mould, and a structural moulding is obtained by foaming and curing. The negative mould is produced by casting with a pourable plastic from a master positive of the adapter block to be foamed. To create connecting bores in the adapter block, the negative mould contains anchorable pins, which are embedded in the plastic by anchoring ends. Preferably, one negative mould serves for foaming a plurality of adapter blocks. The casting of the negative mould takes place under a vacuum, and casting compound may be filled into corners and edges of the master positive before pouring-in takes place.
