Broadband distribution system with a high number of channels

In a broadband distribution system with a high number of channels for standard TV video and audio signals, measures are taken for transmitting additional video and audio signals without increasing the aggregate power of the amplifiers of a distribution network. The amplitude of the additional video and audio signals is frequency-selectively decreased before they are forwarded to the distribution network and increased again correspondingly after the transfer points of the distribution network.
