The lightweight hall with a central locking system has two hall halves symmetrical with one another relative to a transverse median line, each hall half having in each case a fixed, outer gable wall and a middle part movable towards and away from one another. Each hall half consists of a row of portal-like supporting arches covered by a roof skin, a plurality of rollers which roll off on a respective fixed rail pointing in the longitudinal direction of the hall being rotatably mounted at the foot of each supporting arch, and the locking system being formed between the movable middle parts of the hall halves by a hook which is pivotably mounted on the supporting arch of one hall half, is axially displaceable and detachably engagable to a part of the supporting arch of the other hall half. The axial displacement of the hook is in this case effected by a spindle driven by an electric motor, the pivot bearing of the hook being arranged on the spindle rod and the pivoting movement of the hook being limited by a stop fixed to the housing.
