The invention is directed towards a plough installation for working steeply stratified seams and the like, in which a baseplate plough runs on a sliding track which is formed by sliding plates and on which the vertically pivotable conveyor is supported on the working-face side. According to the invention, the pivot bearing of the conveyor lies between two chain-guide passages in which the plough chain is guided. The plough is connected with its baseplate to the tension side of the plough chain, which tension side runs in the bottom chain passage. In addition, the sliding plates are arranged on beam sections of an articulated beam. The bottom chain passage of the plough chain is formed by guide members which are fastened on the waste side to the beam sections.
