The invention relates to a cavity A for microwave ovens, which have a front F that surrounds an access opening to the cavity. The opening is closed by a flap B which interacts with the oven front F so that when the flap is closed a gap, which is delimited on the one side by the oven front and on the other side by the outer parts of the flap B, is formed from the inside of the cavity A to the space outside the cavity, with an inlet opening for a damping choke D opening out into the said gap. According to the invention, the oven front F is integrated with the cavity walls G around the access opening and consists of parts of the said walls that are bent inwards, whereby seams at the front of the oven are eliminated. <IMAGE> |
