<p>In a device for limiting the return temperature in a hot-water heating installation, there is a return temperature sensor (9), a by-pass valve (7) and control means (10) which transmit to the by-pass valve (7) opening signals, during release periods in which the return temperature has undershot a limiting value or range of limiting values, and closing signals in blocking periods in which the return temperature has overshot the limiting value or range of limiting values. The by-pass valve (7) is alternately closed and opened during the blocking period by the control means (10). As a result, at the start of heating of cooled-down spaces the return temperature is kept low. The transfer time up to attainment of normal operation is relatively short. The mean temperature of the heat exchanger (4) is not subject to any large fluctuations. <IMAGE></p> |
