A process for redispersing the clay fraction of Kaolin-water suspension for use in paper mills etc. permits viscosity and particle surface treatment without undue dilution, and subjects the mixture in paste form to compressive rubbing and sectioning action, thus dispersing particle agglomerations and particle surface polishing. The plant used can be of the corkscrew extrusion variety with filter or gripp (6), and one or more screws (2) for paste motivation. The screws embody notches at intervals on their peripheries. The outlet (6) has inter-sliding grills whereby the size of outlet aperture and, thus, discharge can be varied. An electro-mechanical or electro-pneumatic system controls the discharge.
