A circuit arrangement is proposed for switching an electric-motor drive on and off, preferably into or between two defined limit positions, in that the drive motor is intended to be electrically braked during switching off, with as little delay as possible, by short-circuiting the motor winding. To this end, the circuit arrangement comprises two relays (14, 15) which are connected by means of in each case one changeover contact (14a, 15a) to a connecting lead (12, 13) of the drive motor (11), and the break contacts (14c, 15c) of the relay (14, 15) being connected to one another at one terminal and the make contacts (14b, 15b) being connected to one another at the other terminal of a supply voltage. When the drive is operated, the one relay (15) is initially switched on for a specific rotation direction, and the motor is connected to the voltage via the changeover contact (15c) of this relay. When the motor (11) is switched off, the other relay (14) is additionally also switched on, and the motor (11) is electrically braked, subject to the short pull-in delay of the relay (14), via the changeover contact (14a) of said relay (Figure 1).

|
