PURPOSE:To provide a titled welding head which permits sure and stable resistance welding by constituting so that the large current flowing instantaneously in tips of electrodes are fed from the tips of the electrodes pressed equally on the metal to be deposited. CONSTITUTION:An arm 62 is lowered to connect the sharpened tips of electrodes 56a, 56b to the metal to be deposited and sliding shafts 46a, 46b are slightly moved upward to bring rollers 58a, 58b into contact with recesses 44a, 44b. If the contact pressures transmitted respectively from the electrodes 56a, 56b are different, an equalizer 42 oscillates around its fulcrum to slide either one of the shafts 46a, 46b thereby absorbing the above-described pressure difference. Since the rollers 58a, 58b contact with the recesses 44a, 44b by rolling friction in this stage, the above-described pressure difference is transmitted approximately to the equalizer 42 so that the pressures are balanced. A pressure is exerted on the electrodes via the arm 62 and when the prescribed pressure is attained, welding current is conducted from the tips of the electrodes 56a, 56b, then the desired resistance welding is accomplished under the specified pressure. |
