发明名称 OBSTACLE DETECTING METHOD FOR VEHICLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To detect an obstacle that comes in front of a vehicle surely in unmanned rail transport system etc. by picking up an image and storing the video in front of a running vehicle, reproducing the video with running of the vehicle and comparing it with present video in front of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:An image storing device 1 is made up of an optical video disk etc. and stores video (hereinafter called old video) in front of a vehicle in every unit traveled distance photographed along the route traveled by the vehicle 20 by an image pickup device 4. On the other hand, video in front of the vehicle running at present (hereinafter called new video) are similarly photographed by the image pickup device 4 and given to a comparator 3. The video comparator 3 compares the old video given from the image storing device 1 with new video picked up by the image pickup device 4, and detects inroad of an obstacle by the difference of video when an obstacle is detected, stop command is given to an automatic operating device 5, and the vehicle is stopped.
