PURPOSE:To provide a self-adhesive paper which can be used on a variety of copying machines without causing adherence of the self-adhesive, prepared by forming a coating layer on at least one edge to prevent exposure of the self- adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A coating consisting of cellulose derivative such as nitrocellulose or acetylcellulose or a synthetic resin coating consisting of alkyd resin, phenol/ formaldehyde resin, etc. is applied to at least one edge of a self-adhesive paper composed of a base paper 1 covered with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 2 and a release paper 3, followed by drying for formation of a coating layer 4. EFFECT:To prevent adherence of the self-adhesive to photosensitive material through direct contact at the edge of the self-adhesive paper which leads to staining of copying paper and copying machines.
