PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of the resulting titled Al alloy when the alloy is combined with a fin material as well as the extrusibility and brazability by providing a specified composition consisting of Cu, Mn, Be, Ti, B and the balance Al with impurities. CONSTITUTION:This Al alloy for the tubes of a heat exchanger has a composition consisting of 0.2-0.8% Cu, 0.05-0.55% Mn, 1-10ppm Be, 0.001-0.05% Ti, 0.1ppm-0.03% B and the balance Al with impurities. The alloy is suitably combined with sacrificial anode fins and brazed to form the tubes of a heat exchanger. The alloy has superior extrusibility and brazability, and it also has superior corrosion resistance when combined with the fin material.
