摘要 PURPOSE:To facilitate effective formation of smooth primary coating layer having little fluctuation of film thickness by carrying out electrostatic spray coating using a coating agent having a specified viscosity and resistivity and cured by activated energy rays. CONSTITUTION:The coating agent for the electrostatic spray coating of optical fiber for optical communication is curable by activated energy rays and has 5- 5,000cps viscosity at 25 deg.C and 10<5>-10<16>OMEGAcm resistivity at 30 deg.C. The coating agent consists essentially of a polymetrizable material polymerized by radical polymn., radical addition polymn., or cationic polymn. such as ring-opening polymn. of epoxy group, etc., and is cured by activated energy rays. If necessary, photopolymn. initiator, photosensitizer, or conductive compd., may be contained therein.
