PURPOSE:The titled film free of impurity and excellent in mechanical strength, heat stability and dielectric property and useful as an electronic material, comprising a polymer of a five-membered heterocyclic compound containing an oxygen family element on the ring. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen family element-containing five-membered heterocyclic compound (derivative) such as furan, thiophene, selenophene or tellurophene, if required, after dissolution or dispersion in a suitable solvent is polymerized on an anode by electrolytic oxidation in the presence of impurity ions, and the impurity ions are removed by electrolytic reduction to obtain a film of a polymer of the five-membered heterocyclic compound.
