HYDROREFINING OF HYDROCARBON OIL

PURPOSE:To perform denitriding and desulfurization of hydrocarbon oil efficiently, by introducing a hydrocarbon oil containing nitrogen and sulfur compd. into a reaction tower filled with a mixture of specified basic and acidic catalysts. CONSTITUTION:A hydrocarbon oil which contains nitrogen and sulfur compd. is introduced into a reaction tower filled with a mixture of (a) a basic catalyst consisting of an oxide or sulfide of at least one of Mo and W and an oxide or sulfide of at least one of Ni and Co as active metal species and supported by a porous alumina carrier containing a solid basic substance and (b) an acidic catalyst consisting of an oxide or sulfide of at least one of Mo and W and an oxide or sulfide of at least one of Ni and Co as active metal species and supported by a porous alumina carrier containing a solid acidic substance, to cause catalytic denitriding and desulfurization reaction at 300-450 deg.C under hydrogen partial pressure of 30-150kg/cm<2>.
