PURPOSE:To take a measurement easily with high precision regardless of the effect of crosstalk and contact resistance by feeding back the vertical axis output signal of a sampling oscilloscope and controlling its sampling time. CONSTITUTION:The output of a terminal 34 of the circuit including a Josephson junction sampling gate 32 is converted by a sampling head 53 into an equivalent low-frequency signal, which is inputted to the vertical axis amplifier of the sampling oscilloscope 50. Then, the vertical axis output signal is fed back to the sampling time base 51 of the sampling oscilloscope 50 and an XY recorder 61 through a lock-in amplifier 59, integrator 61, etc. When the control by said feedback attains to a steady state, the switching time of the sampling gate corresponds to the vertical axis output signal one to one. Therefore, the high-precision measurement is carried out easily regardless of the effect of crosstalk and contact resistance.
