PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn having high craping properties, by melting and extruding a polymer containing polyethylene terephthalate and polytrimethylene terephthalate in a specific ratio, drawing and heat-treating filaments by plural hot rollers, winding it at high speed. CONSTITUTION:A polyester composition obtained by copolymerizing and/or blending 50-80wt% polyethylene terephthalate (C2T) based on total amount with 50-20wt% polytrimethylene terephthalate (C3T) and/or polytetramethylene terephthalate (C4T) based on total amount is melted and extruded as filaments, cooled, solidified, drawn and heat-treated successively by at least two hot rollers, and wound at <=3,500m/min, to give the desired yarn consisting of multifilaments having fiber properties of <=2.2de single yarn size, <=40% elongation at breaking and <=5% shrinkage percentage in boiling water.
