PURPOSE:To maintain satisfactory performance in a drum mixer for granulation independently of decrease or increase of the amt. to be produced by sintering by recycling discharged raw material from the drum mixer from the exhaust side of the drum mixer to the feeding side thereof, and adjusting the amt. of the recycled material. CONSTITUTION:A recycling line comprising a conveyor 14 for recycling a discharged raw material from a mixer 9, etc. is provided from an exhaust side of the drum mixer 9 for granulation of a raw material for sintering to a feeding side of the material, and the space factor of the raw material in the mixer is controlled by adjusting the amt. to be conveyed by the recycling line. As a result, the performance of granulation of the drum mixer is constantly maintained at a satisfactory level even if the amt. to be sintered is decreased or increased.
