The invention relates to an air slide conveyor (1) comprising a plenum chamber (2) configured to receive compressed gas from a gas supply system (3), and a conveying deck (4) forming a top side of the plenum chamber (2). The conveying deck (4) is porous for enabling gas to escape from the plenum chamber (2) through the conveying deck (4). The conveying deck (4) is formed at least partly of a plurality of porous ceramic parts (5).
