A SEAL BETWEEN THREE RELATIVELY MOVABLE BODIES FOR ROTARY PISTON ENGINE

The primary sealing element follows the circumference of e.g. a rotary piston, an outer element fitting the end of a reciprocating shaft in a radial piston bore. An intermediate member fits between the former two whilst extending perpendicularly from the primary member. The three seals act together to seal the assembly in a housing. The primary and intermediate members have a rectangular section strip form with ends received in a recessed cylindrical junction block. The outer member has an inverted 'L' profile with a similar section, housing in shaft end groove and into a further junction block.
