VENTILATING MECHANISM FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of ventilation by use of the prominent suck- out effect of an air spoiler mounted at the opening part of a ventilation port which opens on the external face of a car by providing the spoiler with both a front face making an angle of negative incidence with respect to air flow along the spoiler and a rear face which separates the air flow from the spoiler. CONSTITUTION:The body 5 of a rear air spoiler 4 is made up of a bottom face 51 at which the spoiler is attached to a car, a front face 52 which serves to generate a downward air force and a rear face 53 making an acute angle with respect to the front face 52 via an edge 53A at which air flow is separated from the spoiler. The front face 52 makes an acute angle with respect to the bottom face 51 via a front edge 52A so as to make an angle of negative incidence with respect to air flow along the surface of a car. The spoiler has a ventilation port 40 having both an inlet 58 formed on the bottom face 51 as to coincide with the opening of a trank lid and an outlet 59 formed on the rear face. While a car is driving , air flow is separated from the spoiler at the rear edge 53A and eddy currents are then generated behind the rear face so that air having a low pressure is provided behind it. Because of the reason, air inside the car is sucked out via a communication port, hence achieving efficient ventilation.
