PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and make it possible to reduce the total cost to a large extent, by forming a strain yielding part, whose cross sectional area is made smaller than other parts, and facing strain transmitting parts, amplifying and transmitting the strain, and using an inexpensive material. CONSTITUTION:A strain yielding part 4, whose cross sectional area is smaller than the other parts, is formed in the intermediate part between a load applying part 2 and a mounting table part 3. The outer parts of the slits 6 and 7 are split and strain transmitting parts 8 and 9 are formed so as to face each other. Strain detectors 10 are fixed to the transmitting parts. The strain, which is yielded in the strain yielding part 4, is amplified and transmitted to the strain detectors 10 through the transmitting parts 8 and 9. Thus the converter, whose sensitivity is 5-10 times that of the conventional load converter, can be obtained. Therefore, an inexpensive material, whose strength is low in the range wherein the load and the strain are proportional, can be used. At the time of failure, only the detector 10 can be replaced, and the total cost can be reduced to a large extent. |
