Back pedalling brake hub

A back pedalling brake hub is provided in a hub sleeve and has a braked surface, brake jaws which each have a brake surface, and a brake cylinder which has roller elements for pushing the brake jaws radially outwards with respect to the hub sleeve so that the backward pedalling of the pedals triggers the braking action, in addition a chamber in which the roller elements are contained and which is filled with lubricant, the brake jaws each being provided with at least one reservoir groove for lubricant, which groove is open towards the brake surface, and being provided with throughbores in order to permit the connection between the reservoir groove and the chamber so that the lubricant poured into the said chamber is capable of being fed automatically to the brake surface.
