Cutting pot plant carrier vacuum-formed from plastic sheet - using fixed and moving die shaped to produce hand grip cut=outs in side walls

The method is intended for cutting a carrier, e.g. for potted plants, vacuum-formed in a continuous plastic sheet, from this sheet. The carrier has an upper surface with impressed recesses and a downward outwardly inclined perimeter wall. The sheet is passed through a cutting unit with complementary cutting dies. The dies are shaped such that the cutting operation produces at least two cut-outs at opposite positions in the lower rim of the perimeter wall to act as hand grips, one die being fixed and the other movable.
