The invention relates to a programming device for ventilators which can be controlled via a computer and control unit as a function of data of predetermined types of ventilation and ventilation parameters, and which control inspiration and expiration by means of control signals. Customary ventilators are already equipped with control units whose operation is pre-programmed and which update a logic program sequence. Utilising the advantages of these solutions it is intended to develop a master terminal for physiologically required program controls which also displays the functional commands. This is achieved by means of a central controlling, computing and monitoring unit provided with a display board and a touch keyboard.
