PURPOSE:To perform focusing surely and quickly by inclining a line sensor, which auto-focuses a microfilm picture, to the picture. CONSTITUTION:When a line sensor 6 is turned at a prescribed angle with a center part 61 as a fulcrum and is inclined to a frame picture 22 of a microfilm 22 at a focusing time, the sensor 6 crosses the picture 22 in any position of a frame 21. The position of a lens system 3 or the microfilm 2 is adjusted in accordance with contrast information by this detection to perform focusing surely and quickly. Thereafter, the line sensor 6 is returned to the position parallel with the picture to scan and read the picture 22. |
