PURPOSE:To obtain a heat pipe system heat exchanger having excellent corrosion resistance at low cost by transferring heat between a fluid to be heat-exchanged and a heat pipe through a block made of carbon. CONSTITUTION:Each upper and lower end section of a plurality of heat pipes 3 is severally inserted to blocks 1, 2 made of carbon arranged separated by intervals of heat-insulating sections 4 in the vertical direction. When a fluid H at a high temperature is flowed in flow paths 5 in the lower block 1, a fluid C at a low temperature flowing in flow paths 6 in the upper block 2 is heated. Even when the fluids H, C abound in corrosive properties as a strong acid at that time, each fluid H, C can be heat-exchanged mutually without corroding the heat pipes 3 because the carbon blocks 1, 2 are stable against such fluids and each fluid H, C flows in the flow paths 5, 6 without being brought into contact with the heat pipes 3. The efficiency of heat exchange does not lower particularly because carbon has high thermal conductivity. |
