PURPOSE:To make a feeding state of fuel, lubricating oil and so one detectable in an accurate manner, by installing a magnet slidably inside a cylindrical body to be connected to a fluid passage for lubricating oil and the like as well as installing a switching device, which opens or closes in response to this magnet, in an outer circumference of the cylindrical body, in case of industrial machinery. CONSTITUTION:In a detector 1 consisting of a connecting cylinder and the like connected to a lubricating oil passage for a tank and a pump, its magnet 5 compresses a spring 6 by dint of a flow of lubricating oil and is displaced in a downstream direction when the oil is fed to, for example, a chain saw or the like by a pump drive so that a reed switch 7 installed on the outer circumference of an upstream end of a cylindrical body 2 opens. And, regardless of the pump drive, if a feed quantity of lubricating oil is insufficient or used up, the magnet 5 goes back to the upstream side by dint of energizing force in the spring 6, closing the reed switch 7 and indicating a shortage of lubricating oil. With this constitution, even if the detector is turned over, a feeding state of fuel and lubricating oil or the like is simply and accurately detected and, what is more, since the switch is not directly touched to the fluid, safety comes to fruition. |
