PURPOSE:To prevent a bearing part from being damage or deformed, by providing a reinforcing rib on the bearing part of a front cover. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing rib 18 is provided as one body so as to be orthogonal to a bearing part 9 of a front cover. As a result, a rigidity of the bearing part 9 is improved. Therefore, even if an impact such as a drop, etc. is applied to a tape cassette, it does not occur that the bearing part 9 is damaged, or a turning shaft 15 of a rear cover 8 is detached from the bearing part 9, and a tape cassette which is strong against an impact can be obtained.
