PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition of outstanding stroge stability capable of giving coating film of high hot-water resistance and flexural durability, by regulating, within a specific range, the quantity of the chemical bonds between acrylic polymer and epoxy resin in a composite-type equeous dispersion comprising the both polymers. CONSTITUTION:(A) A copolymer constituted by structural units of formulae I , IIand III [R1 is H or CH3; R2 is phenyl, etc.; R3 is of formula IV (m is 0-100); R6 is CH2 etc.], respectively, (B) epoxy resin of formula V (R7 is of formula VI) and (C) another copolymer constitued by structural units of formulae I and III, respectively, are blended so as to be <5 in the weight ratio C/(A+B+C)X100 and further, <=50wt% of the carboxyl groups in the components (A) plus (B) is neutralized by amine, thus obtaining the objective composition. EFFECT:Capable of giving coating film with only a small amount of water extract leading to suppression of food flavor.
