PURPOSE:To prevent the laser light from leaking from an opening part by inhibiting opening of a cover when a disk and a disk plate are set to a recording and reproducing position. CONSTITUTION:A containing case 13 provided in a device body 1 moves up and down in the device body 1 in a state that it contains and holds a disk plate 9. In a position where the containing case 13 has descended, a shaft of a disk motor 14 is fitted into a center hole of a disk 3, and the disk 3 is rotated by its rotational force. At the same time, a laser light is outputted from the tip of a pickup 15, irradiated to the disk 3 and executes a recording or reproducing operation of a signal to the disk 3. A projecting piece 16 is provided on the left and right end parts of the tip of the containing case 13, and a stopper piece 5 provided on a cover 4 is formed in accordance with this projecting piece 16. When the containing case 13 is made to descend and in a recording or reproducing state, the end face of the projecting piece 16 contacts by pressing to the stopper piece 5 or it is opposed very adjacently, therefore, even if it is tried to open the cover 4 in this state, the cover 4 does not turn and does not open since the stopper piece 5 collides with the projecting piece 16. Accordingly, it is not feared at all that a laser light leaks from an opening part 2 in a recording or reproducing state.
