PURPOSE:To improve the communication efficiency by executing a test communication at plural speeds and defining the highest successful speed as the communication speed for the text communication. CONSTITUTION:The communication speed is preset at a prescribed level for both a master station 1 and a follower station 2 respectively. Then a test telegram 10a is transmitted from the station 1, and the station 2 transmits an answer telegram 11a to the telegram 10a. The telegram 11a is received by the station 1. Both stations 1 and 2 are set again at the communication levels of the next stage respectively to perform the same communication test. In such a way, the test communication is carried out while the speed level is changed. When the station 2 is unable to confirm the telegram 10a, a circuit control mechanism 8 slows the speed down to the next lower level under the control of a data processor 4. Thus it is possible to perform the text communication at a communication speed which secures the highest efficiency. |
