PURPOSE:To make it possible to effectively check the continuity, disconnection and contact of a cable and to make the titled checker portable, by checking the state of a cable by using predetermined voltage and a current. CONSTITUTION:40 kinds of DC voltages are successively flowed out in such a state that a line checker 1 is connected to a cable 3. In this state, if there is contact such that the splitting resistor in a line voltage circuit 4 is shortcircuited, the potential difference of middle point voltage and reference voltage is displayed by a meter 6 through the operation amplfier of a discriminator circuit 5 while the checker 2 introduces the voltage from the cable 3 into a voltage comparing and discriminating circuit 9 through a line input change-over circuit 7. The discriminator circuit 9 is equipped with a continuity check part and a disconnection check part and the corresponding LED of a display part 10 is lighted corresponding to continuity and disconnection.
