PURPOSE:To shorten the step for reducing dissolved oxygen in a condensate at the time of starting the operation of the titled condenser by disposing a partitioning plate within a hot well and providing corner members at the corner parts of the hot well. CONSTITUTION:In the condenser 1 are provided the partitioning plate 13 and corner memebers 16 within the hot well 2. Simultaneously with the starting a vacuum pump 4, the condensate is sprayed and dropped from a consate recirculating line 10 within the condenser 1 through a line 9, a condensate pump 5, and a gland condenser 6. Upon this occasion, before the falling condensate reaches the hot well 2, the condensate is brought into contact with steam supplied from a steam supply line 15. Then, the falling condensate is reheated, and dissolved oxygen in the condensate is further reduced. As a result, at the time of starting the power plant, the dissolved oxygen within the condensate can be effectively reduced in a short time. |
