PURPOSE:To provide a Ti alloy for a control rod contg. one or more among prescribed percentages of Al, Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni, Si and Sn, having superior corrosion resistance, and preventing hydrogen embrittlement,. CONSTITUTION:This Ti alloy for a control rod consists of, by weight, one or more among 0.01-37.1% Al, 0.005-16.1% Cr, 0.005-32.6% Fe, 0.005-22.1% Mn, 0.005-33.7% Ni, 0.01-9.2% Si and 0.01-33.3% Sn and the balance Ti and contains a precipitate of said alloying elements. Since the precipitate having high electric conductivity such as an intermetallic compound is present in the metallic structure, electric conductivity is provided to an oxide layer, and electrons generated on the interface between the oxide layer and Ti are transferred to the surface. Accordingly, hydrogen embrittlement is prevented by generating hydrogen on the surface.
