PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of recording positions and, at the same time, to make the recording of scan information possible, by recording for every scanning line from the backside of a recording medium by adding a storage means. CONSTITUTION:A recording section is composed of a recording mechanism 1 equipped with a recording electrode 11 and a driving mechanism 3 of the recording mechanism 1. When received signals are the addresses in the main scanning direction and auxiliary scanning direction of hand written information, recording data are stored in prescribed positions of a storage section in accordance with each address. When received signals are scan information, black and white binary signals are successively stored for every scanning line as recording data. Then the stored recording data are read out for every scanning line corresponding to the position of the recording section in the auxiliary scanning direction and recorded from the backside of a recording medium 2. Therefore, since the record can be seen from the front side of the recording medium 2, the accuracy of the recording position can be improved and, at the same time, scan information can be recorded.
