PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved physical properties of vulcanization, obtained by blending specific halogenated ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer rubber with mercapto-S-triazine or its derivative in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. halogenated ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer rubber (alpha-olefin contains 3-10C; copolymer rubber before halogenation contains 3-30 polyene components shown by iodine value) having 5-45wt%, preferably 5-35wt% halogen content and about 20-200, preferably 30-120 Mooney viscosity is blended with 1X10<-3>-2X10<-2>mol, preferably 2.5X10<-3>-1.0X10<-2>mol mercapto-S-triazine shown by the formula (R is SH, R'NH, or ArNH; R' is 1-20C alkyl; Ar is aryl) or its derivative.
