摘要 PURPOSE:To enable mixture of being kept burnt in the stratified form in a system wherein fuel is injected from a fuel injection valve installed in an intake port in the substantially rear half of the suction stroke at the low load time or the similar time by operating the system that the angular position of a crank after fuel injection is completed according to driving condition of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In operation of an engine, CPU15 reads and stores each signal of a pressure sensor 8, a water temperature sensor 9, a crank angle sensor 10 and an ignition switch 11, so as to discriminates whether the operation of the engine is for start or not. If discrimating not, CPU15 computes the reference injection quantity from an engine rpm and suction negative pressure and compensates the reference injection quantity according to temperature of cooling water so as to redetermine the quantity of fuel injected for actual operation. From the actual fuel injection quantity an injection angle theta is determined and from an engine rpm the fuel injection completion timing compensatory amount DELTAtheta is also determined, From both DELTAtheta and a fully-closed timing of an intake valve an injection timing completion timing thetaic is determined. Based on the timing thetaic, an injection start timing thetaio according to the injection angle theta is determined to control a fuel injection valve 6.
