PURPOSE:To attain the display of arithmetic before and after execution and also to provide the same effect as that of a printer electronic calculator by providing a means using a plural stages of display sections and storing the process of arithmetic for data not displayed. CONSTITUTION:A numeric key of a numeric key input section NK11 is inputted. In this case, the result of arithmetic before that stored in a RAM2 is displayed on an arithmetic execution elapsed display section LDB52. A CPU30 adds entry data from the NK key 11 by the input of the NK key 11. Then the result of addition is displayed to an arithmetic result display section LDA51. A key such as a + key of a fan key FK12 is depressed next. The RAM2 stores the process of arithmetic execution of data not displayed to the LDB52. The CPU30 reads the storage in the RAM2, executes the arithmetic and stores the result to the RAM2. As a result, the display of the LDB52 is scrolled toward high-order digit for one line's share, a new arithmetic process is displayed on the least significant digit and the result of arithmetic is displayed to the LDA51.
