PURPOSE:To provide a two-pack type acrylate adhesive having excellent adhesion and shelf stability, by using an adhesive compsn. contg. polyphosphoric acid. CONSTITUTION:An org. peroxide (A) (e.g. cumene peroxide) and polyphosphoric acid (B) are added to a mixture consisting of an acrylate monomer (C) (e.g. methyl acrylate or polypropylene glycol monoacrylate) and a polymer (D) (e.g. polymethyl acrylate or nitrile rubber) soluble in component C, to obtain a first soln. ( I ). Separately, a curing accelerator (E) (e.g. ethylenethiourea) is added to obtain a second soln. (II). The first ( I ) and second (II) solutions are combined together to provide a two-pack type acrylate adhesive. Polyphosphoric acid is used in a quantity of at least 0.001wt%, pref. 0.05-0.1wt% and may be added to the second (II) soln.
