PURPOSE:To produce the titled composition capable of giving a laminate having water resistance and excellent blister resistance of the gel coat, in high lamination workability with little evaporation loss of the component monomer, by compounding a specific unsaturated polyester containing dicyclopentadiene as a component wth a polymerizable monomer. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) 55-80wt% unsaturated polyester having an acid value of <=40 and obtained by (1) reacting (i) saturated dibasic acid containing >=50mol% aromatic dibasic acid with (ii) a polyhydric alcohol or an alkylene oxide until the conversion of whole carboxyl group reaches >=75%, (2) reacting the resultant oligoester having hydroxyl group or carboxyl group at the terminal with maleic anhydride and dicyclopentadiene at <=145 deg.C, (3) raising the temperature of the reaction product, and (4) carrying out the polycondensation reaction optionally adding additional polyhydric alcohol or alkylene oxide to the reaction system with (B) 20-45wt% polymerizable monomer.
