PURPOSE:To set the temp. of supply gas introduced into a reactor to a desired value and to perfectly recover the cryogen in a system, by a supply gas line and a return gas line for connecting two heat exchangers and bypass lines provided to the above mentioned both lines. CONSTITUTION:A first heat exchanger 20 and a second heat exchanger 21, both of which has equal heat exchanging capacity and each of which can perform the heat exchange of a total amount of supply gas and return gas, are provided. The supply gas line connects the first heat exchanger 20, a reactor 6 for determining the equilibrium temp. of a hydrogen isotope corresponding to the temp. of supply gas, the second heat exchanger 21, a cooler 8 and a rectifying column 10 while a bypass pipe 27 being the bypass line of the primary heat exchanger 20 further connects pipes 22, 23. On the other hand, the return gas pipe connects the rectifying column 10, the second heat exchanger 21 and the primary heat exchanger 20 while a bypass pipe 33 being the bypass line of the second heat exchanger 21 further connects pipes 30, 31.
