PURPOSE:To manufacture high-purity lime nitrogen easy to handle and less in adherence wit hith yield without using carbide by allowing to react quick lime and urea under heating in the presence of the powder of silica series inorganic material. CONSTITUTION:(B) About 0.5-10mol times urea and (C) about 1-40wt% powder of silica series inorganic material (for example, fumed silica, fine silica and diatomite powder) are added to (A) quick lime and crushed. Next, the obtained mixture is caused to react under the atmosphere of gaseous nitrogen and gaseous ammonia at about 500-900 deg.C for about 5-60min to manufacture lime nitrogen.
